Venturini Massimino

The estate of Massimino Venturini is located in the commune of S. Pietro in Cariano in Verona.  The vineyard, situated on steep terraced hillsides overlooking the city in an area know historically as Valpolicella, enjoys a south-western exposure with a microclimate favorable not only to the ripening of grapes for young red wines but also to their drying in autumn and winter for the richly dry Amarone. At an altitude between 500 and 1150 feet above sea level Mr. Massimino Venturini and sons have planted, Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, in a very light limestone soil rich in fossils, to produce high quality wines of complex flavor. Approximately 850 cases of Amarone are produced annually.
