ALEATICO

GRAPES: 100% ALEATICO   

                                

The Wine: This wine is exclusively made of 100% Aleatico grapes, carefully selected and hand harvested at the end of September. After the malolactic fermentation has been completed, the ageing occurs in stainless steel tanks. It is then refined in bottles for 6 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: This Aleatico has a bright ruby color with purple hues. The nose is elegant and beautifully aromatic with notes of fresh raspberries and blueberries; hints of nutmeg, rose petals and strawberry highlight a delicate background of fresh violets. The smooth and extremely long palate with a perfect acidity makes this wine ideal to be enjoyed by itself at the end of a meal or as a meditation wine. Nonetheless it is the perfect match for berry tarts, biscotti and fruit pies. 

JADDICO

GRAPES: 70% NEGROAMARO, 15% MONTEPULCIANO, 15% MALVASIA NERA

                         

The Wine: Jaddico is the name of the estate where the grapes are grown. This wine is made of 70% Negroamaro, 15% Montepulciano and 15% Malvasia Nera grapes. The harvest begins in the second half of September. The maceration takes place for a period of 18 days at controlled temperature. After the malolactic fermentation has completed, the wine ages for 8 months in barrique. It is then refined in bottle for 12 months before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes: Jaddico has a deep ruby red color. Potent aromas of plum and marasca cherry with hints of cocoa and black pepper introduce a background of leather, tobacco and clove. Full-bodied, with a good balance and a velvety finish, Jaddico is a great match for pasta with savory sauces, risotto with black truffle, roasted red meats, wild game and aged cheeses. 

MARMORELLE BIANCO

  GRAPES: 80% CHARDONNAY, 20% MALVASIA BIANCA

The Wine: Marmorelle is the name of the estate where the grapes are grown.  It is a perfect blend of Chardonnay and Malvasia bianca grapes, carefully selected and hand- picked in August and September. They undergo the maceration process on the skins for 12 days. After refining in steel tanks, the wine rests in bottle for 2-3 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Marmorelle has a delicate straw yellow color with light green hues. Its bouquet ranges from fruity to floral with notes of mango, banana, peach and orange blossoms. The palate is fresh, medium-bodied, with a long, persistent finish. This wine is best enjoyed with pasta with light sauces, seafood salads or grilled fish. 

MARMORELLE ROSSO

GRAPES:  85% NEGROAMARO, 15% MALVASIA NERA

 

The Wine: Marmorelle is the name of the estate where the grapes are grown. This wine is made of 85% Negroamaro grapes and 15% of Malvasia Nera grapes, carefully selected and hand-picked in the second half of September. The grapes macerate with the skin in stainless steel vats for about 14 days, After the malolactic fermentation has been completed, the wine is refined in stainless steel vats and rests in bottle for 2-3 months before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes: Marmorelle has an intensely bright ruby red color. A multilayered nose offers scents of cherry, black currant and blueberries on a background of nutmeg and cocoa. A warm and pleasant palate with well-balanced acidity and gentle tannins that guarantee a long persistent finish. This is a perfect match for pasta with savory sauces, red meats and aged cheeses. 

NEGROAMARO

GRAPES: 100% NEGROAMARO

 

The Wine: This wine is exclusively made of 100% Negroamaro grapes, carefully selected and hand harvested in the second half of September. The grapes macerate with the skin for about 12 days. After the malolactic fermentation has completed, the wine ages in wood for 5 months. It is then refined in bottle for 4 months before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes: This Negroamaro has a bright ruby red color. Its complex bouquet offers scents of cherry, plum, blackberry and currant with hints of black pepper, tobacco, liquorice, thyme, rosemary and leather. Well balanced and smooth on the palate with velvety and elegant tannins and a long finish. The perfect match for pasta with savory sauces, grilled meats, wild game and medium aged cheeses. 

SATURNINO

GRAPES: 100% NEGROAMARO

 

The Wine: Saturnino was the name of the original owner of the Jaddico estate now owned by the Rubino family. This wine is exclusively made of 100% Negroamaro grapes carefully selected and hand-picked at the end of September. They macerate in stainless steel vats for a short period of time. The wine is then refined in stainless steel vats and rests in bottle for about two months before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes: This rosé wine has a light ruby red color. Its bouquet perfectly marries fruity notes of pomegranate, raspberry and strawberry with hints of violet and rose petals. Fresh and smooth on the palate with mineral notes and a pleasant acidity, Saturnino is the perfect match for pasta with light sauces, seafood or mushroom risotto and grilled fish 

VERMENTINO

GRAPES: 100% VERMENTINO

                         

The Wine: This wine is exclusively made of 100% Vermentino grapes, carefully selected and hand harvested on the first week of September. They macerate with the skin for about 8-12 days. The wine is then refined in stainless steel tanks and rests in bottle for 3 months before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes: This Vermentino has a delicate straw yellow color with bright green hues. Fragrant notes of grapefruit and green apple are followed by scents of almond flowers and white pepper. Fresh and smooth on the palate with a warming aftertaste of almonds, this wine is an excellent match for smoked fish, shellfish, pasta with light sauces or as an aperitif. 

MIRAGLIO

GRAPES: 100% NEGROAMARO

 

The Wine: This wine is made of 100% Negroamaro. The harvest begins in the second half of September. The maceration takes place for a period of 12 days at controlled temperature. After the malolactic fermentation has completed, the wine ages for in 40hl wood tanks. It is then refined in bottle for 4 months before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes: The color is a bright ruby. An ethereal bouquet with notes of cherries, plums, mulberry, blackcurrant along with nuance of black pepper, tobacco, liquorice, thyme, rosemary, leather and juniper. The taste is warm and elegant, full with a balanced alcohol structure, velvety with a long finish with smooth tannins. Pairs well with pork stew, grilled steaks, lamb with mushrooms.  Ideal with medium-aged cheeses. 

VISELLIO

GRAPES: 100% PRIMITIVO

  

The Wine: Visellio was the name of the original owner of the vineyard, 2000 years ago. It is made of 100% Primitivo grapes that have been carefully selected and hand-picked at the beginning of September. The maceration takes place for a period of 18 days at controlled temperature. After the malolactic fermentation has been completed, the wine ages for about 8 months in French oak barriques. It is then refined for 12 months in bottle before being released on the market.

Tasting Notes: Visellio has a deep impenetrable ruby color. Intense aromas of plum, currant and blueberry preserve introduce hints of clove, nutmeg, violet and liquorice. Harmonious with a balanced acidity and gentle tannins with a silky smooth finish, this wine is best suited for pasta dishes with rich, savory sauces as well as roasted red meats, wild game and aged cheeses 

OLTREMEĀ’

GRAPES: 100% SUSUMANIELLO

The Wine: Oltreme’ is exclusively made of 100% Susumaniello grapes. The harvest takes place at the beginning of October followed by the fermentation in stainless steel vats and the maceration at controlled temperature for about 10 days. After the malolactic fermentation the wine is refined in steel and in bottle for at least 60 days before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Oltreme’ has a bright and clear ruby red color with purple hues. Delicate, aromatic and intense on the nose with notes of raspberry and blueberry with scents of nutmeg, rose and strawberry. This wine shows a perfect balance between an important structure and a gently acidity. A superior wine perfect as end of a meal with strawberries and raspberries tarts and dry cakes. 

PRIMITIVO

GRAPES: 100% PRIMITIVO

 

The Wine: This wine is exclusively made of 100% Primitivo grapes carefully selected and hand-picked at the beginning of September. The grapes macerate with the skins for about 8-15 days. The wine is then divided in two parts: a small amount is refined in French oak barrels, and the rest is refined in stainless steel tanks for about 24 months. Primitivo rests in bottle for about 4 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Primitivo has an intense ruby red color. It has a fruity bouquet with scents of red berries and blueberries. It is smooth on the palate. A perfect match for red meats, pasta with savory sauces and aged cheeses. 

PUNTA AQUILA

GRAPES: 100% PRIMITIVO

 

The Wine: Punta Aquila is the name of the estate where the grapes are grown. This wine is made of 100% Primitivo grapes carefully selected and hand-picked at the beginning of September. They macerate with the skin in stainless steel vats for about 12/15 days. After the malolactic fermentation has been completed, the wine ages in oak barriques for 4 months. It is then refined in bottled for a period of 4-6 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Punta Aquila has a deep ruby red color. An ethereal bouquet with scents of cherries, blackberry preserve, red currant and rhubarb makes way for a background of tobacco, ginger and black pepper. A perfect balance of acidity and gentle tannins guarantees a long persistent finish. This is a perfect match for pasta with flavorful sauces, roasted red meats and aged cheeses. 

TORRE TESTA

GRAPES: 100% SUSUMANIELLO  

The Wine: Torre Testa is exclusively made of 100% Susumaniello grapes, carefully selected and hand-picked at the beginning of October. They macerate with the skin in stainless steel vats for about 14/16 days. After the malolactic fermentation has been completed, the wine ages in French oak barriques for 12 months. It is then refined in bottled for at least 12 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Torre Testa has a deep ruby red color with purple hues. An elegant and complex bouquet with scents of black cherry and currant is followed by notes of chocolate, nutmeg, liquorice and cinnamon. Full bodied and well balanced with velvety tannins and a long finish. A superior wine that pairs well with pasta with savory sauces, roasted red meats, wild game and aged cheeses.

GIANCOLA

GRAPES: 100% MALVASIA BIANCA

 

The Wine: Giancola is the name of the street where the vineyard is located. This wine is exclusively made of 100% Malvasia grapes, carefully selected and hand harvested at the beginning of September. After the fermentation is complete, the ageing occurs in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then refined in bottle for 6-8 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Giancola has a rich straw yellow color with golden green hues. Aromas of iris and acacia are followed by notes of pineapple, peach and cantaloupe with hints of vanilla, almond and honey. Elegant, well-rounded and smooth on the palate with a balanced and satisfying acidity, it is excellent with pasta with light sauces and seafood.
