AGLIANICO DEL VULTURE

GRAPES: 100% AGLIANICO DEL VULTURE

 

The Wine: Lelusi Aglianico del Vulture is made of 100% Aglianico grapes, harvested at the beginning of November. The grapes are handpicked and macerate on the skins for about 15-20 days in stainless steel vats. After aging in French oak barriques for 14-16 months, the wine is refined at least 6 months in bottle before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Aglianico del Vulture has dark ruby red color. On the nose it expresses an intense bouquet of blackberries, spices (black pepper) with notes of licorice. On the palate is complex and has a full persistent quality whit hints of black fruits. This wine is best suited for red meats, lamb, wild game and aged cheeses.
