LA TOGATA DEI TOGATI - BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO

GRAPES: 100% SANGIOVESE GROSSO

 
 

The Wine:La Togata dei Togati is the expression of the best grapes of Sangiovese Grosso selected with extreme care. The crop is thinned down to less than a kilo per vine to produce very concentrated grapes. After an intense extraction and a long maceration on the skins, this wine ages in Slovenian Oak barrels for a period of 36 months and for an additional 6 months in French Oak barriques. Before being placed on the market, it refines in bottle for a minimum of 12 months. The rustic Cellar made of stone is designed to create the best modern environment for the production and storage, enabling the wine to be kept at a controlled constant temperature.

Tasting Notes: La Togata dei Togati is a magnificent ruby red with garnet hues. Loads of dark and rich fruits on the nose, with hints of toasted oak and tobacco. Full-bodied, voluptuous and seductive, with big velvety tannins and a long, long finish. This outstanding Brunello is best suited for elegant main courses, pasta with savory sauces, roasts, game and refined creations of international cuisines.

    

LA TOGATA BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO RISERVA

GRAPES: 100% SANGIOVESE GROSSO

 
 

The Wine:La Togata Brunello Riserva is made of 100% Sangiovese Grosso accurately selected picking three grapes out of five. The grapes are again subject to another selection in the cellar, where they are processed according to the old manual tradition. After a long maceration on the pommace, most of the wine ages in Slovenian oak barrels and a small part in barriques for 36 months. It undergoes an additional ageing period of 24 months in bottle before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: La Togata Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is magnificently ruby red in color. A spectacular wine that introduces itself with an intense and complex bouquet. Powerful and incredibly smooth on the palate, it offers a perfect balance and a long lingering finish. It is best suited for elaborate creations, red meats with mushrooms and truffles, pasta with rich savory sauces or aged cheeses. 

LA TOGATA BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO

GRAPES: 100% SANGIOVESE GROSSO

 
 

The Wine:Brunello is made of 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes accurately selected picking three out of five. They are then transferred to another cellar, where they are processed according to the old manual tradition. The wine is aged in small French oak barrels for approximately 6 months, then in Slovenian oak barrels for another 24 months. Before being placed on the market, the wine rests in bottle for a minimum of six months. The rustic stone Cellar is designed to create the best modern environment for production and storage, enabling the wine to be kept at a controlled temperature.

Tasting Notes: La Togata Brunello di Montalcino is beautifully ruby red in color.  A full-bodied, well-balanced textured wine combines unique characteristics of grandeur and elegance with an intense and complex fruity bouquet. Persistent on the palate this wine extracts an astonishing smooth long finish. It is best suited for smoked meats, exotic pork dishes, pasta with rich savory sauces or roasted wild game dishes. 

LA TOGATA ROSSO DI MONTALCINO

GRAPES: 100% SANGIOVESE GROSSO

 
 

The Wine: This Rosso is made of 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes. The vines are in excellent conditions and trained in low spurred cordon keeping the yield below level by close pruning and thinning. The long vinification takes place at controlled temperature. The wine is aged in new barrels for approximately 12 months; a small amount is aged in French oak barrels. It then stays in bottle for a minimum of 4 months. This rustic Cellar made of stone is designed to create the best modern environment for the production and the storage of wine, enabling the wine to be kept at a constant temperature controlled.

Tasting Notes: La Togata Rosso di Montalcino is a magnificent ruby red with purple hues. A full-bodied wine, well-balanced with fruity bouquet and oak scents. Smooth on the palate, it has a good structure and persistent tannins with notes of fresh and ripe fruit. This wine is best suited for roasted meats, pasta with rich savory sauces or game dishes.

    

BARENGO

GRAPES: 100% SANGIOVESE GROSSO

 
The Wine: Barengo is exclusively made of 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes hand harvested at the beginning of October. After the maceration in stainless steel tanks for about 25 days, the wine ages for 6 months in Slovenian oak barriques and it is refined in bottle for an additional 6 months, before being released on the market.

 

Tasting Notes:  Barengo has a ruby red color with purple hues. It has an intense fruity bouquet with hints of plum and blackberry. Smooth and well-structured it has notes of fresh ripe fruits. This excellent wine marries well with pasta with savory sauces, grilled meat and cheeses.
