CERASUOLO DI VITTORIA

  GRAPES: 70% NERO D’AVOLA- 30%  FRAPPATO

 

The Wine: FiaNobile Cerasuolo di Vittoria is made of 70% Nero d’Avola and 30% of Frappato grapes. The harvest takes place during the last 10 days of September and the first 10 days of October. After the soft pressing of the grapes, the maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks for about 10 days for the Nero D’Avola and 7 days for the Frappato. The wine is then blended together and rests a period of 6 months in cement tanks. The Cerasuolo is then bottled and ages for an additional 6 months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Cerasuolo di Vittoria has an intense cherry red color. On the nose it has mixed scents of fruit and spices. Full bodied and soft on the palate, this wine is best suited for pasta with savory sauces, roasted red meats and aged cheeses. 

NERO DÂ’AVOLA

  GRAPES: 100% NERO D’AVOLA

 

The Wine: This wine is exclusively made of 100% Nero d’Avola grapes carefully selected and hand-picked the second half of September. The maceration takes place for about 15 days in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages in concrete vats for a period of 6 months and rests in bottled for another six months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: FiaNobile Nero d’Avola has a brilliant ruby red color. The nose expresses aromas of red berries. Full bodied on the palate with a persistent taste. A wine best suited for elaborated meat dishes, game and aged cheeses. 

NERO CAPITANO

  GRAPES: 100% NERO D’AVOLA

 

The Wine: This wine takes the name from a Captain of World War I that was once the custodian of the vineyard where the grapes are grown. It is exclusively made of 100% Nero d’Avola grapes carefully selected and hand-picked at the beginning of October. The maceration takes place for about 15 days in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages in 60hl oak barrels for a period of 10 months and rests in bottled for six months before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: FiaNobile Nero Capitano has a brilliant ruby red color. The nose expresses aromas of red berries and spices with hints of vanilla. Full bodied on the palate with a persistent taste. A wine best suited for elaborated meat dishes, game, aged cheeses and pasta with savory sauces. 

FRAPPATO

  GRAPES: 100% FRAPPATO DI VITTORIA


The Wine: This wine is exclusively made of 100% Frappato grapes carefully selected and hand-picked at the beginning of October. After the soft pressing of the grapes, the fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for approximately 8 days. The wine is then aged in cement tanks for about 6 months and a minimum of 3 months in bottle before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: Frappato has a cherry red color. The nose expresses a fruity and flower bouquet with notes of red berries, roses and violet. On the palate it is dry, fresh supported by soft tannins. This wine is best suited for red and white meats, pasta with savory sauces, fish dishes and cheeses.
