Drusian

ROSE’MARI

  GRAPES:  100% PINOT NERO

                  

The Wine: Drusian Rose’ Mari is made of 100% Pinot Nero grapes. The grapes are manually harvested at the end of August and pressed at a temperature not higher than 1 bar. It is than decanted in steel tanks where it undergoes the vinification for 60-70 days. The method employed is the Charmat. The wine rests in bottles for about a month before being placed on the market.

Tasting Notes: This refined Rose’ Mari is presented in an elegant pin shaped bottle “birillo” and has a brilliant light ruby red color. A fresh and intense nose, characterized by a fruity bouquet with scents of red berries. It has a perfectly balanced blends  and fresh palate. It is the ideal match for light plates such as white meats, fish, salads and pasta with light sauces. 

PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE SPUMANTE MILLESIMATO

  GRAPES: 100% PROSECCO

                       
The Wine: Drusian Prosecco Millesimato is made of 100% Prosecco grapes specifically selected and grown on a hilly terrain. This is a grape that even while still on the vine appears to be gifted with particular style and perfect balance. They are manually harvested and pressed at a temperature not higher than 1 bar, in order to preserve the quality of the must. This is decanted in steel tanks where it stays for about 10-12 hours. The purest part is then extracted and placed in temperature controlled steel tanks where it undergoes the vinification process for 15-20 days. The method employed is the Charmat in absolute respect of each current year’s production: the wine is placed in temperature controlled, hermetically sealed tanks which are resistant to pressure variables. The temperature of the wine is lowered to 59o F and kept constant until the desired pressure is reached, then lowered to 25 o F in order to stop the fermentation. The wine is then filtered and placed back in the tanks for the secondary fermentation until all the sugars are dissolved in order to obtain a wine with a pleasantly dry palate. It is then bottled without oxygen to maintain its fresh and citrusy fragrance.

Tasting Notes: This refined Prosecco is made selecting the best grapes harvested during particularly outstanding vintages (Millesimato stands for a wine with a vintage) and has a lovely pale straw yellow color with golden hues. Its bouquet ranges from fruity (golden delicious apple, pear, white peach and hints of citrus) to floral (blossoming wisteria and acacia). It is mellow and velvety on the palate, but at the same time dry, due to its well balanced acidity. This harmonious wine is without a doubt of superior quality. The surprisingly full, lingering flavor makes this wine ideal for all occasions. 

DRU EL CRÙ

  GRAPES: GLERA, BIANCHETTA and PERERA

 
 

The Wine: This sparkling wine is obtained from Glera, Bianchetta and Perera grapes.  Its name represents three typical characteristics: 

“DRU” because its quality is equal to other sparkling wines from Drusian. 

“EL” in the dialect of Veneto means “il”, which is the Italian definite article.

“CRU” indicates its identifiable place of origin.

The area of production is Valdobbiadene-Conegliano.  The soil type is clayey and calcareous, and the climate is cool Mediterranean.  Harvest takes place from mid-September to mid-October.  Vinification includes light pressing.  Charmat method (tank fermentation) is employed.

Tasting Notes: Pale straw in color with a fine and persistent bead.  Freshness and delicacy are the distinctive features of “Dru el Cru” which makes it ideal for any occasion. 

PROSECCO EXTRA DRY

This is decanted in steel tanks where it stays for about 10-12 hours. The purest part is then extracted and placed in temperature controlled steel tanks where it undergoes the vinification process for 15-20 days. The method employed is the Charmat: the wine is placed in temperature controlled, hermetically sealed tanks which are resistant to pressure variables. The temperature of the wine is lowered to 59o F and kept constant until the desired pressure is reached, then lowered to 25 o F in order to stop the fermentation. The wine is then filtered and placed back in the tanks for the secondary fermentation which is blocked before all the sugars are dissolved in order to obtain a wine with a slightly sweeter palate. It is then bottled without oxygen to maintain its fresh and flowery fragrance and fruity palate.

A clean and intense nose, characterized by apple scents blends harmoniously with a fruity palate in which sweetness and acidity are perfectly balanced. It is the ideal match for fresh flavors such as vegetables, fish soups or fried fish, and pasta with seafood. Excellent as an aperitif as well as in combination with fresh peach puree for the famous cocktail “Bellini”.

Tasting Notes: The name Gujot is inspired from the name of the plant’s cultivation. This wine has a pale straw yellow color with hints of green. It is the maximum expression of Prosecco Spumante, with a harmonic structure accompanied by the delicate aroma of apple and pear. The combination of this wine’s freshness and its fragrance together with a fine and persistent bead makes it ideal for all occasions. Perfect as an aperitif or with seafood dishes.
