Cinque Terre

SCIACCHETRÀ RISERVA

 GRAPES: 80% BOSCO, 15% ALBAROLA, 5% VERMENTINO 

                      

The Wine: Sciacchetrà Riserva is made of 80% Bosco, 15% Vermentino and 5% Albarola, it is the result of a meticulous selection of grapes left to dry naturally on the racks for about 2 months. The fermentation takes place with partial maceration on the skins with frequent mixing and then aging continues in stainless steel vat for about 16 months.

Tasting Notes: The color is amber, bright and dense. The nose is very intense and persistent with clear scent of candied orange, dried figs, dried apricots and hazelnut. The palate is long and persistent with clear sweet sensation as well as a very well balanced fresh taste. As a young wine, Schiacchetrà, is ideal with spicy cheeses and textured desserts.

RIVUS MAJOR BRUT

GRAPES: 60% BOSCO, 25% ALBAROLA, 15% VERMENTINO

 

The Wine: Rivus Major Brut is a wonderful blend of 60% Bosco, 25% Albarola and 15% Vermentino. Ripening and harvest take place the middle of September. The vinification is made with soft pressing followed by a second fermentation in autoclave (Method Charmat).The ageing process in stainless steel vats lasts 6 months and before being released on the market the wine is refined in bottle for 1 month.

 

Tasting Notes: Rivus Major Brut has a bright straw yellow color. Scents of flowers and fruits on the nose that remind citrus and green apple notes. The palate is dry and fresh, simple and immediate. This sparkling wine is perfect with fish, aperitif and ceremonial toast. 

COSTA DE CAMPU

 GRAPES:  70% BOSCO, 15% ALBAROLA, 15% VERMENTINO

                      

The Wine: Costa de Campu is made of 70% Bosco  15% Albarola and 15% Vermentino. Harvest begins the middle of September. The grapes are soft pressed and in the pre-fermentation phase the must is allowed a brief maceration on the skins for about 12/18 hours, subsequent fermentation and ageing phases are done in stainless steel vats only. Before being released on the market the wine is refined in bottle for 1 month.

Tasting Notes: Straw yellow in appearance with subtle golden highlights. Intense and persistent nose with aromatic notes of sage, Mediterranean vegetation and more subtle hints of citrus and wild flowers. Rich, soft and full with notes of savory and freshness,

Costa de Campu is excellent with: seafood risotto, grilled fish, seafood and medium aged cheeses.

COSTA DA’ POSA

GRAPES: 70% BOSCO, 20% ALBAROLA, 10%VERMENTINO

                       

The Wine: Costa da’ Posa D.O.C. is made of 70% Bosco, 20% Albarola and 10% Vermentino. Harvest begins the middle of September. The soft pressing of grapes is followed by a brief phase of maceration. After 36 hours of maceration, the wine rests in stainless steel vats for 6 months and before being released on the market is refined in bottle for 1 month.

Tasting Notes: The color is an intense straw yellow. Rich of olfactory sensations that remind the pot herbs that spontaneously grow in the coast, as mint and licorice.

The palate is warm, soft and dry with notes of sapidity and freshness with a finale very well balanced. Costa da’ Posa D.O.C. is perfect with grilled fish, seafood, white meats and medium aged cheeses. 

CINQUE TERRE

GRAPES: 60% BOSCO, 25% ALBAROLA, 15% VERMENTINO

                       
 

The Wine: Cinque Terre D.O.C. is a perfect blend of 60% Bosco, 25% Albarola and 15% Vermentino. Ripening and harvest take place the middle of September.The vinification is made with soft pressing. Fermentation is without skin contact at a controlled temperature with a brief maceration on the yeast and subsequent ageing is in stainless steel vats.

Tasting Notes: Cinque Terre D.O.C. has an intense straw yellow color in appearance with fleeting yellow-gold hues. This excellent wine exhibits a rich and persistent nose, very refined and elegant, with the distinct aromas of wild flowers, broom, honey and the more subtle notes of citrus fruits. The palate is dry, warm bouquet, fresh and full-bodied, essentially well-balanced with an extended and persistent finish. This wine is ideal with appetizers, white meats, fish, seafood and fresh cheeses.
